Ruth never says no. She has helped with just about any organization or with any project that has asked her. She goes above and beyond for her friends, family, and community. She served as a volunteer and board member for the Blackbelt Benefit Group. She has also volunteered for Keep it Clean Selma, Grow Selma, the Charlie Lucas Project, Selma Pilgrimage, and Master Gardeners. She is also currently taking care of her elderly father who lives with her.
